Time Warner Cable Southern California Operations-West Region currently seeks 

a Revenue Assurance Analyst for our Finance Department in El Segundo, CA. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

The Revenue Assurance (RA) group supports the company’s accounting, billing, operations and internal control functions related to revenue. Our mission is to perform revenue assurance assessments and implement appropriate strategies, policies, and procedures that will identify and quantify incremental revenue opportunities and will minimize the risks to revenue.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Revenue Assurance Analyst will work with other members of the team to lead an organization-wide effort to develop a framework for identifying and measuring data to ensure that leakages are not occurring at critical points in the revenue stream.

The candidate must possess at least two years of solid professional finance or auditing work experience, be interested in an opportunity that fosters growth and development, be eager to learn new things, and be flexible in a dynamic environment.

The candidate should be a quick learner and have a proven track record of being able to analyze data, solve problems, work independently with minimal supervision, and communicate clearly and effectively. He or she should have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare reports to increase management awareness of actual and potential areas of revenue risk/exposure and recommend appropriate action to either prevent or mitigate the risk.

• Perform analytical reviews of various data sources to identify areas of revenue opportunity and report these findings to upper management.

• Determine root cause of potential billing/revenue anomalies, determining and reporting reasons for variances, and work on revenue leakage measurements and reporting.

• Conduct analysis of revenue impacting issues, including but not limited to, processing errors, work-order errors, free account abuse, credit adjustment abuse and discount abuse.

• Analyze financial and/or operational information and provide insight and recommendations aimed at maximizing revenue.

• Identify revenue opportunities and prevent revenue loss by auditing the Billing System to ensure that customers across all product lines and businesses are accurately billed for services and that all taxes and fees are collected in a manner consistent with local franchise requirements, state and federal laws and regulations, and Time Warner Cable policies and procedures.

• Prepare financial schedules and serve as support for selected accounting functions.

• Other duties and special projects as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related fields required.

• Minimum of two years experience in auditing (external or internal) and/or financial analysis and/or consulting; Big 4 experience preferred.

• Microsoft Office proficiency is essential, including Excel, Access, and Powerpoint. Experience with macros and databases preferred.

• In process of completing or have completed a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license

• Exceptional ability to collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data

• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

• Must be detail-oriented and able to closely follow instructions to ensure compliance.

• Must be able to project positive and professional attitude and have the ability to adapt to a changing industry.

• Sarbanes Oxley experience preferred.
