Job Purpose
To provide a strategic interface between HR and Country Commercial, Operations, Finance and Manchester based Global Contact Centre short, medium and long term goals within the UK. Develop an aligned HR Business Partnership with UK leadership team and direct reports that drives the delivery of business objectives. To direct and lead a strategic, professional and world class HR consultancy service that drives ‘best practice’ in all aspects of people management, development and processes.



Responsibilities
Design, develop and deliver HR/People Strategy for the UK, in order to fully align with the business plan and achieve short, medium and long term business objectives.
To deliver specialist knowledge and expertise to UK leadership team on all aspects of people management to include but not limited to: employment law, recruitment and promotion, organizational design, reward and learning & development in order to deliver world class HR services.
Accountable to deliver consistency in application of HR policies, procedures and practices, in order to minimize risk and financial exposure. Provide advice and guidance on complex issues where needed.
Responsible to identify and lead continuous improvement and consistency in HR processes by working to SLA agreements with the COEs that delivers project/policy development and the enhancement of centralized services to the business.
Establish credibility as a role model of HR best practice to deliver employee motivation and engagement that supports the Etihad employer brand and increases retention across the UK.
Accountable to lead and participate as required in cross functional HR working groups involved in the development and promotion of HR policy and procedures, operational efficiency, cost saving studies and service improvement initiatives in line with division objectives.
Responsible for HR Corporate strategy to be implemented across the UK.

Requirements

  • A degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualification.
  • A diploma in Personnel Management /CIPD or Aviation or a related qualification in HR will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, employment law and regional labour legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong people manager; able to lead a professional team.
  • Excellent project management skills; able to deliver tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Strong consultancy skills; able to identify underlying issues to business/people problems.


Additional Information
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT: Works independently with tight deadlines and under pressure as this position is located in remotely and will require regular travel within region and to Abu Dhabi)
