Job Purpose
The Regional HR Managers primary responsibility is to develop an HR Business Partnership by providing a consultancy service to line managers in the areas of people management and development, resourcing, selection, employee relations, local employment regulations and Corporate HR processes and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a team who are regionally based and will be responsible for ensuring a consistent approach is achieved across the region to SLA standards and compliant with local employment laws. The incumbent will be responsible for championing best practice in all areas of people processes that builds the reputation of Etihad Airways as an Employer of choice within the region. The Regional HR Manager will identify and escalate to the Head of International HR any strategic issues/opportunities relating to HR deliverables to the business.

Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures for the Region.
Accountable for delivering HR regional services, including but not limited to regional recruitment, staffing, compensation and benefit administration, and managing employee relations within the Region In close cooperation with the HR plan for the company, coordinate, and implement global corporate initiatives in Organizational Development,Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, and Performance Management aligned with local business strategies.
Coordinate with Office of General Counsel and external counsel to develop sound HR policy applicable within the region.
Effectively communicate regional business needs to Corporate HR; identify or assist in developing appropriate solutions to meet regional needs.

Requirements
A degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualification.
A diploma in Personnel Management /CIPD or Aviation or a related qualification in HR will be an advantage.
Knowledge of policies, procedures, employment law and regional labour legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Commitment to confidentiality.
Strong people manager; able to lead a professional team
Excellent project management skills; able to deliver tasks within tight deadlines.
Strong consultancy skills; able to identify underlying issues to business/people problems.
Experience of managing remotely and being managed remotely.
Proven track record of handling complex issues and IR negotiations.
Competent in Strategic thinking and implementation.

Additional Information
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT: Works independently with tight deadlines and under pressure as this position is located in remotely and will require regular travel within region and to Abu Dhabi)
