Position:  Maint. Supervisor Tech. Svcs Uld - (Welder/Fabricator)

Job Purpose

To supervise, plan, schedule, perform and direct the day to day operations of repairs and corrective / scheduled - maintenance of equipment/vehicles to meet operational needs and all other activities performed within their relevant section. The job holder will be responsible for monitoring and controlling repairs / maintenance by detailed inspection of the work required ensuring cost effectiveness and high standard of service.

Qualifications:

Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile/ Eectronics Engineering/Fabrication/ Welding/Sheet Metal Works.

Or 'A' level education with minimum 4-6 years experience


Experience:

3+yrs Experience in similar sized workshops.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Proven ability to communicate in English (Verbal & written)
  • Must posses the ability to supervise and guide a team to achieve the departmental maintenance targets and posses a valid UAE / Ramp driving licence.
  • Will relate to one of the trades below. For example:
  • Fabrication/Welding/Sheet Metal Works – (specific to ULD section CCC2264)
  • Knowledgeof metallurgy, sheet metal works, fabrication and ability to carry out structural orbody repairs.
  • Knowledge of welding types/machines, welding process, ability to read blue prints and prepare drawings.


Or

Electrical/Electronics – (specific to Cargo Engineering section CCC 2256)

Knowledge of control circuits using contactors and PLC’s, motors of various types and rating and associated drives, traction batteries and chargers, maintenance & troubleshooting of control panels / maintenance of HV panels, AC & DC motors, knowledge of electric vehicles control system (forklifts etc), and exposure to basic electronics.

Or

Mechanical - (specific to Cargo Engineering section CCC 2256)

Knowledge of differentials, transmissions, brake assemblies, steering assemblies, mast systems, hydraulic systems including pumps and valves, mechanical systems of electric vehicles (forklifts etc)welding and fabrication with basic metallurgical knowledge, mechanical systems and assemblies fixed/mobile cranes and cargo conveying systems.

Mechanical – (GSE workshop)

Knowledge in all aspects of assembly overhauling and fault finding relating to heavy equipment and light vehicles is compulsory. This knowledge must include but not be restricted to, differentials, transmissions brake and steering assemblies. A working knowledge of Hydraulics and Auto electrics would be an advantage

Or


Hydraulic –

Knowledge in all aspects of assembly, overhauling and fault finding relating to Hydraulic systems, this knowledge will include but not be restricted to, hydraulic pumps, motors is compulsory control valves and operating systems. The ability to read and understand Hydraulic schematics and electric control circuits is essential

Or


Air conditioning and power –

Knowledge in all aspects of assembly, overhauling and fault finding relating to light and heavy duty air-conditioning units as well as Light and heavy duty AC / DC generating units is compulsory This knowledge will include but not be restricted to compressors, generators, rectifiers and control systems. The ability to read and understand wiring diagrams is essential and an electronics background would be beneficial.

Or


Engine shop –

Knowledge in all aspects of assembly, overhauling and fault finding relating to light and heavy duty diesel and petrol engines as well as manual and automatic transmissions is compulsory. This knowledge will include but not be restricted to Detroit, Cummins, Deutz and all smaller diesel engines and all makes of petrol engines. Funk, Alison and all other heavy and light duty transmissions. The ability to read, understand and work from technical manuals is essential.

Or


Auto Electrical shop -

Knowledge in all aspects of assembly, overhauling and fault finding relating to automotive and heavy duty electrical systems components and sub assemblies is compulsory. This knowledge will include but not be restricted to light and heavy duty starter motors, alternators, electronic control units, PLC’s and actuators. The ability to read and understand electrical diagrams for fault finding is essential. Knowledge in electronics would be an advantage.
