Tata Group: Vacancy for Process Architect in Mumbai, India


Position: Process Architect
Work Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities
a) Key Objective / Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Director of Business & Operations Support Systems, in this Technical Architecture position the incumbent will help realize Tata Communications future Business Support Systems and Strategy. He/She will influence the automation of business processes across the TCL OSS/BSS. The successful candidate will have a general understanding of TeleManagement Forum eTOM processes and NGOSS framework and will use those as well as other telecom and IT industry standards to help define the end to end business process for TCL.


b) Major Activities
•Design and deliver end-to-end processes for next generation service provider business transformation. 
•Ensure that a disciplined approach is followed for future architecture requirements
•Achieve trusted partner status and maintain credibility with customers from operations, business, product development and engineering teams by establishing strong relationships and helping to bridge the gaps between those customers and the IT Architecture and Development groups. 
•Be the voice of the customer within IT ensuring needs are promptly and effectively met
Develop Telecom and Enterprise processes using ITIL, NGOSS and other relevant industry frameworks 

Requirements
•TMF certification required. Other relevant industry certifications (ITIL, TOGAF, etc…) desired.
•Good knowledge of the existing OSS, BSS, and IT applications (commercial and open source) and vendor landscape. 
•Working experience with multiple OSS/BSS functional areas such as Opportunity and Order Management, Customer Care, Customer Relationship Management, Workflow Management, Data Mining & Warehousing, Self Care Portals, Product Lifecycle Management, Service Delivery, Service Assurance, Inventory & Asset Management, and Billing & Financials.

Consulting experience with global telecom providers preferred
•The ability to understand and assimilate complex network technologies and concepts (SDH/SONET, Ethernet, VOIP, IP VPN, E-LAN, WiMax, etc) as demonstrated by previous work experience is required.
•Solid understanding of up-to-date architecture concepts and system integration principles (TOGAF, SOA, J2EE, OSS/J, …)
•Proven track record with enterprise architecture and process modeling tools in support of business transformation and next gen migration.
•Familiarity with Software development Life Cycle and project management principles
•An earned Bachelor Degree in a related engineering or information technology discipline is required, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
•Develop and publish Architecture Guidelines and Process Frameworks to support among other functional areas,
oService Assurance including Fault, Performance and Trouble Ticketing Management 
Service Delivery
Billing
Customer Care and Life Cycle Management

Product Life Cycle Management
•Ability to effectively communicate and partner with internal IT customers is a must.
•Ability to coach development team members on Target Architecture alignment and process implementation is a must.
•Excellent communications skills (verbal, writing, presenting).
•Comfort working with a team across multiple time zone and geographies is required.
•Occasional travel to North America, Europe, and intra-Asia is expected.
•5+ of Telecom experience in Operations, Engineering or IT is required.
•History of developing processes for leading global service providers is required
Consulting experience with a globally focused SI is desired.
