Description JOB OVERVIEW
Measure the performance attributes within Dairy Queen® food and treat centric franchise locations and Orange Julius® franchise locations via the use of established PRIDE Check evaluations. Utilize knowledge of system standards of performance, PRIDE operating systems, restaurant operations, and franchisee best practices to provide counsel, advice and assistance to franchise owners/ operators in an effort to positively impact and improve operating standards, sales, and profitability. Partner with Business Consultants to achieve short and long term company and operations objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Develop a district plan which includes the scheduling and successful completion of PRIDE Check evaluations in a timely, consistent, and objective manner
•Conduct a thorough review of PRIDE check evaluations with franchise owners and/or key management personnel in a manner that provides direction and consultation that helps develop solutions and influence the appropriate behavior to satisfactorily address documented deficiencies.
•Apply knowledge of PRIDE operating systems, effective shift management routines, and facility repair/ maintenance solutions in order to consult on observed needs that are identified during the course of the evaluation.
•Reinforce the proper and effective use of PRIDE operating systems as a means by which to meet and/or exceed ADQ operating standards.
•Analyze information from district evaluations, Business Consultants, and other departments and develop specific action plans that enhance and maximize performance of PCC district in relation to department and company goals and objectives.
•Consistently and effectively communicate observations and evaluation results to Business Consultants in a manner and timeline that enhances their ability to effectively consult with franchise owners and operators.
•Develop and deploy a resource process that continuously address systemic issues and/or captures best practices for common evaluation deficiencies. Effectively communicate these practices and solutions to operators in a timely and compelling manner. Ensure that these practices and solutions are shared with the PRIDE Check Consultant (PCC) group and PCC Directors, and promote the continued optimization of these practices and solutions.
•Manage conflict resolution in a professional manner that creates alignment with involved parties.
•Recognize and communicate potential legal issues to eliminate or reduce risk of damage to ADQ and it brands on a timely basis.
•Monitor consistent execution and delivery of company strategies to ensure food safety, trademark protections and ADQ standards.
•Develop skills and performance to meet the present and future needs of the business. Actively participate in the performance management process to optimize personal performance.
•Assist in the development of an operating budget for district. Consistently strive to meet or favorably exceed the operating budget for the district.
•Operate within and uphold IDQ’s policies and Code of Conduct
•Complete Ad Hoc projects as required.
Administrative:
•Complete monthly expense report in a timely manner, utilizing the current online expense reimbursement system.
•Review monthly operating statement in a timely manner to ensure accuracy.
•Utilize assigned technology to track, monitor and report on PRIDE checks conducted. Import evaluation data, pictures, and documents that within specified time lines. Analyze data for accuracy.
•Complete timely performance and goal reviews.
•Return phone calls and e-mails on a timely basis (preferred within 24 hours, excluding vacations, weekends and holidays).
•Respond to letters from customers and franchisees on a timely basis.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Experience:
•B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business, Restaurant Management or a related field and/or an equivalent operations experience; and 3 or more years of increasingly responsible restaurant management (direct P&L responsibility for mulit-unit geographically dispersed operations experience) and/or franchise operations management (large fragmented system preferred); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
•Thorough knowledge of restaurant and franchise operations
•Thorough knowledge and familiarity of the restaurant industry (QSR preferred)
•Proficient knowledge of marketing, finance, training, human resource and development
•Creative thinker who can quickly develop innovative ideas across a wide variety of business units.
•Relationship building skills with the ability to create mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external clients and a variety of people and personalities
•Ability to work with and influence difficult people and circumstances
•Ability to recall/ remember details about operating systems, operator environments and other business related matters and apply that information in context
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate operating systems and standards to a variety of audiences.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office
•Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
•Working knowledge of various electronic tools such as digital camera, PDA, and GPS units
•Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment and frequent interruptions
•Well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

•Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
•Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Job requires:
•Employment contingent upon successful completion (meeting company standards) of a background screen and a restaurant operations skills test.
•Working on a personal computer for extended periods of time, an average of 3 hours per day.
•Ability to work on evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet project deadlines.
•ServSafe certification.
•Frequent (up to 4 hours per day) communication via telephone, email and facsimile.
•Ability to travel up to 4 weeks per month to conduct evaluations, and attend meetings and training sessions
•Ability to drive an automobile for store visits and/or meetings and training. May require sitting in vehicle up to 8 hours per day and/ or 1600 miles per week. Able to be insured by company insurance provider.
•Ability to travel frequently by air (up to 50% of travel) for store visits and/ or meetings and training. May require sitting in an air craft up to 8 hour per day.
•Ability to stand on concrete floor for up to 8 hours per day.
•Ability to do physical work including lifting and/ or moving up to 50 lbs.
•Able to bend, squat, and/ or kneel on a regular basis during working hours.
•Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions such as excessive heat, cold, and rain
•Ability to work in and around foods that may produce allergies such as dairy, nuts, eggs, etc.
