Job Purpose
You will be responsible for establishing and ensuring efficient, adequate and correct processing of all guarantee and warranty claims, this includes ensuring that all data are in place to capture maximum guarantee and warranty remedies available on the airframe, engines and components.
The role includes tracking, reporting and presentation of key milestones linked to departmental initiatives, sustainable future and other corporate objectives necessary in achieving and maintaining world’s best practice.
Responsibilities
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Optimizing revenue and cost savings from contractual guarantee, warranty, and reliability, product support conditions offered by the aircraft manufacturers and suppliers.
- Liaising with Etihad/ADAT Engineering to collect Engine technical performance data, make necessary analysis and calculations to reconcile and claim any applicable remedies as per GTA beside warranty claims.
- Participating in Etihad/ADAT reliability discussions and meetings to ensure components (SFE/BFE) guaranteed MTBUR are met and pursue applicable remedies.
- Liaising with Etihad Engineering, Planning, Logistics, Maintenance, Legal, Finance and Contracts department in order to provide appropriate data to settle all guarantees and warranty claims. Enhance the contractual clauses related to guarantee and warranty to sustain Etihad interest.
- Monitoring and directing ADAT warranty section to ensure ADAT warranty system is set up to capture warrantable jobs in ADAT premises inclusive SB’s and AD’s campaigns.
- Monitoring vendor’s performance in terms of product support, receptiveness to guarantee & warranty claims, and claim satisfaction rates and values, and report this information to vendors.
Requirements
You should have a minimum of 15 years experience in Aviation field, including at least 6 years related to guarantee and warranty and experience within the area of Aircraft maintenance hanger, planning, quality and material
You are required to have the following:
- Must be qualified to degree level or equivalent, with University degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of Engine and logistics standards
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and technical contractual requirements related to guarantee and warranty clauses.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- High degree of human interaction and communication skills
- High standard of English language
- High standard of computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications)
