Description of Unit
Business Unit Global Services has a number of Global Services Delivery Centers around the world which complements the Market Units in delivering services to Ericsson's customers.

NOC GSDC Romania is today one of the primary operations centers for managed services.

Within the NOC GSDC Romania there are three units focusing on the various
aspects of delivery: Operations Support, Front Office (Level 1 support) and Back Office (Level 2/3 support).

The organization is responsible for provisioning and operation of our customer's network. This includes fault restorations (Assurance), technical changes, configuration management, readiness, security, performance management, preventive maintenance, provisioning and consultancy.

Job Description
Manage networks and nodes within the core domain of our customers 2.5G & 3G
networks (switching including MSC, MSC-Server, MSS, HLR, MGW, STP etc.)
This includes:

• Preventive Maintenance activities
• Fault handling and corrective actions
• Participate in project activities, implementing / adapting (new) UMTS E2E service functionalities.
• On regular base covering the 7x24 Call-out responsibility
• Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes- and work instructions.
• Verify and implement configuration changes
• Transfer knowledge in a structured way to NOC colleagues.

Qualifications
Competence & Qualification

• In depth knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of MSC (APT/APZ), HLR (APT/APZ), IOG, MGW
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work under strong pressure related to scale of business impact
• Bachelor/Master of science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with minimum of 1 to 5 years of work experience.

Senior Engineers

• 4+ years in 2nd Level Activities or Planning and Design or Build Activities
• experience with  MSCS, MSC, MGW, HLR, STP preferably Ericsson AXE/Cello platform or similar knowledge on Nokia, Huawei or Alcatel
• deep debugging knowledge, project implementation and network configuration
• SS7 trobleshooting

Experienced Engineers

• 2+ years in 2nd Level Activities or Planning and Design or Build Activities
• experience with  MSCS, MSC, MGW, HLR, STP preferably Ericsson AXE platform or similar knowledge on Nokia, Huawei or Alcatel
• deep debugging knowledge
• SS7 trobleshooting
