FACTORY HYGIENE MANAGER
World Class hygiene is critical for food safe, quality products and World Class factory performance.
We require an experienced and enthusiastic food industry professional to lead the implementation of our site wide hygiene strategies and objectives within our York confectionery manufacturing site covering brands such as KitKat and Aero.
Working with factory management and colleagues at all levels, you will utilise your knowledge of legislative and Best In Class business standards alongside your communication and coaching skills to bring about focused improvement.
Specific activities include:
· Commencing with our LEAN manufacturing programme, introduce and develop new GMP and 5S standards and procedures.
· Utilising Nestlé Continuous Excellence methodology, coach the factory workforce, agency staff and contractors to an industry leading performance in hygienic manufacture.
· Working closely with our Training Team, provide stimulating educational material and training courses to deliver hygiene objectives through our workforce.
· Working closely with our Engineering Team, facilitate improvements to the hygienic design of our plants, HACCP and Pre-Requisite Programmes.
· Manage key systems such as the Microbiological Monitoring, Pest Management, Hygiene Audits and Zoning conformance.
· Manage members of the Hygiene Team.
Candidates will hold a degree in a related, scientific discipline and have 3 to 5 years food or pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in a Hygiene or Quality Assurance role.
Qualifications in HACCP and food safety management would be advantageous.
