Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst-1108086
Job Area: Field Operations
Primary Location : Toronto


Description

An opportunity is currently available at our Lakeshore Bakery where we manufacture cookies, crackers and snack foods for a Financial Analyst.

Under the direction of the Controller, this individual will be responsible for Weekly & Monthly Performance reporting, assisting with inventory management, balance sheet reconciliations and other duties as assigned.

As a Financial Analyst, you have the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

Sarbanes Oxley Testing
Perform Monthly/Quarterly and annual testing as laid out in the site's control plan.

Month End Activities
Reconcile Accounts and Prepare journal entries as needed.
Process vendor credits and account for any variances between credit received and expected.
Process all write off and rebill entries on a monthly basis.

Inventory Management
Prepare Inventory adjustment entries.  Work with the Quality Department to ensure on hold inventory is reconciled and all dispositions are accounted for.

Labour Performance Reporting
Reconcile monthly balances to the general ledger and investigate variances.
Perform weekly reconciliation of labour hours for production reporting.

Other
Ad Hoc Reporting
 Participate in various plant teams/meetings/initiatives.
 All other duties/projects as assigned

Qualifications

University degree in Finance and/or Accounting
Working towards CMA, CGA or CA
