Preferred Qualifications: 
• Experience with HDL-based, register-transfer-level (RTL), digital logic design, verificationlanguages, and functional verification methodology, for ASICs and/or FPGAs. This experience should include some
of the following: VHDL and Verilog HDL simulation, synthesis and static timing analysis plus Assertion-Based
Verification, including familiarity with OVL assertions, SystemC, SystemVerilog and/or PSL. Experience may also

include formal verification, constrained random testing and simulation acceleration/emulation and some of the
following: design data management, design-for-test (DFT) and FPGA vendor implementation tools. • Must be able to
communicate effectively in verbal and written form. • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish
rapport and credibility in Verification with customer organizations. • Must be able to assess customer needs and
recommend appropriate solutions. • Must enjoy and be able to transfer knowledge to customer personnel using a
consultative/teaching approach. • Must be able to work collaboratively with Mentor Graphics field and factory
personnel to provide the best overall solution to the customer and to feedback customer requirements to improve
product offerings. Desirable Qualifications: • Previous experience as a consultant or independent contractor in the
field is advantageous. • Experience with C/C++, Tcl/TK, PERL, RCS/CVS is advantageous. Minimum 


Qualifications: •
Five or more years of design and/or verification (or equivalent technical consulting, sales or marketing) experience
and BSEE required. MSEE is a plus.

Qualification

As a Senior Consultant you will be responsible for increasing the deployment and successful adoption of Mentor
Graphics' HDL-based design and Scalable Verification solutions for ASIC/FPGA design in key Mentor Graphics
accounts across the Americas. You will apply your expertise and knowledge in state-of-the-art Verification practices
to work directly with design and verification engineers at customer sites to discover their key verification challenges,
analyze these requirements and then develop detailed recommendations on how best to apply Mentor's scalable
verification methodology and solutions. You would then participate with customers in the implementation of your
recommendations to drive adoption of Mentor Graphics’ HDL-based design and Scalable Verification methodology
and software. Consulting would typically consist of a combination of on-site and off-site work, so some travel is
required for this position, including the potential for occasional international travel to global customer locations.
