Skills/Requirements
Help develop vision and strategic direction for product(s) and technology. Assist in the overall development of product requirements, product roadmaps and product specifications throughout the product development life cycle. Works closely with customers and product line engineering development to identify and analyze market requirements to ensure Mentor Graphics technological leadership. Job Duties:
1.Perform research and analysis of customer and/or market needs of PCB design.
2. Gathers use-case requirements, develops specifications and product roadmaps to ensure Mentor Graphics technological leadership.
3. Manages the development of product requirements and product roadmaps for the products within the product line or division to maximize marketing goals and objectives.
4. Works interactively with Business Development, customers, and development engineering on product planning issues. Creates the marketing requirements and is responsible for balancing the trade-offs and ensuring the product development schedule meets current marketing/sale requirements while maintaining strategic product direction.
5. Recognized as an application area technology expert by Business Development, Application Engineers, Account Managers, and Technical Marketing Engineers.
6. Works closely with Business Development within sales engagements to provide input to the technical sales agenda and delivery of the strategic message. May be actively involved in certain sales engagements.
7. Contributor in the market development strategies including, positioning, pricing, communication strategy, selling strategies, and also collateral and sales tools.
8. Analyzes and tracks competitive capabilities against Mentor Graphics’ capabilities.
9. Develops new product, and product update, collateral including What’s New presentations, demonstrations, and videos.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in PCB design, preferably on the front-end design, schematics, and/or analysis.
• Experience in marketing, sales, or applications engineering of PCB design software.
• Ability to perform research and analysis and develop appropriate strategies for meeting market needs.
• Strong work ethic coupled with good team collaboration
