Structural Engineer
We are currently seeking a high caliber candidate to work on a contract. You will be working for one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies.
Job Summary
Designing and engineering structural and civil solutions for supporting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment for "Acid and Chlor-Alkali Plants".
preparation of material quantities for estimating in the preparation of budgets for fixed-price, lump sum and turnkey projects and liaising with group leaders of other departments to assist in the layout and presentation of projects
Liaise with engineers, project managers and others
Oversee the engineering design of structural steel and structural concrete layouts in accordance with the scope of work
Familiarity and understanding of codes and standards, specifically seismic regulations, codes and standards
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills Ability to work to time constraints and meet tight deadlines
Excellent teamwork skills
8-10 years of experience in structural engineering and design for equipment layouts in chemical, acid plant layout and/or heavy industry
Registered professional Civil/Structural or equivalent
Experience with North American engineering codes and practices
MS Office skills including World and Excel
required travel to international sites from time to time
Ability to develop innovative solutions to unique and challenging problems
Excellent organizational skills Ability to work to time constraints and meet tight deadlines
Excellent teamwork skills
