Bringing together sophisticated analytics from IBM Research with market-leading software solutions, deep industry insight and business consulting expertise, IBM’s Business Analytics and Optimization (BAO) service line helps clients gain greater precision and predictability out of every business decision they make. With the help of IBM’s BAO practice, clients now can understand the consequences of any business decision allowing them to operate at a new level of intelligence, far beyond sense and respond.
IBM is looking to recruit an Associate Partner that will focus on sales and delivery of BAO solutions and services in the Financial Services Sector. The individual we are looking for is currently leading or is ready to lead a BAO consulting practice.
As an Associate Partner you will understand business challenges and be able to translate them into requirements/solutions for business benefits. You will have accountability for and be able to demonstrate the following:
• Meeting sales and revenue targets;
• Working collaboratively to design and deliver business analytics and optimization solutions including both services and technology/software;
• The financial success and client satisfaction of engagements under your direction;
• Defining scope, risk and profitability of engagements as well as the viability of entering new marketplaces;
• Identifying, qualifying and managing the closure of new business;
• Proven ability to develop lasting relationships with clients and colleagues;
• Working across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition and technical solution; and
• As part of the Canadian BAO go to market team, you will assist in the growth and development/management of the BAO practice.
Mandatory:
• 5-10 years of consulting experience;
• Experience in managing large complex engagements as an executive level consultant
• Track record of sales of Business Intelligence solutions / services
• Experience with formal business intelligence methodologies
• Experience working with Banks in Canada and/or globally with working knowledge of key operations and systems
Other Preferences:
• Functional and/or technical knowledge of the many aspects of Core Banking systems
• Proven track record in delivering successful projects, notably complex systems integration, and package implementations
• Exposure to and understanding of consulting services
• Strong communication skills including extensive experience dealing at the executive level
• Strong project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage people including senior staff
• Demonstrated business acumen including negotiation skills and contact/profit management
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask within a matrixed, fast paced and dynamic workplace
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in Business Intelligence Solutions
At least 5 years experience in Consulting Experience
At least 5 years experience in working with Banks in Canada
At least 5 years experience in • Experience in managing large complex engagements as an executive level consultant
English: Fluent
