The group is an R&D and Operation support group. Main duty is to support test, debugging, and marketing use case trials that require the use of our in-house cellular test network.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. First point of contact in terms of isolating if the technical issue is due to mobile phone or cellular test network.
2. First point of contact should local IT firewall issues are preventing work from continuing. Must be able to work with our internal IT ticketing processes.
3. Support users in new use cases (use cases are mainly data centric)
4. Represent the Burnaby/Vancouver site in a weekly North American cellular test network meeting. This includes understanding local use cases and impact of recommended network changes to those use cases.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support in-house video conferencing system by providing first level tech support and performing weekly test of system
2. Provide backup for Rework Technician
3. Assist other team members with administrative tasks as bandwidth permits.

Qualifications

1. Good knowledge of and exposure to cellular network terminologies
2. Good knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, routers, switches, and IPMUX.
3. Has client vs network and/or phone vs network debugging experience
4. Enjoy working in a global virtual team. Likes the challenge of bridging the knowledge gap between users and knowledgeable IP & cellular experts.
5. Comfort with soldering skills a plus
6. Comfort with assembly and disassembly of household electronics a plus
