Job description
As an Enterprise Information Management Technical Business Analyst you will consult on client projects, translating client requirements into technical requirements and recommend a total Information Management solution.
This role is responsible for:
Documenting and analyzing requirements from a business perspective.
Defining current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions).
Working with clients and the Architect to ensure correct translation of business requirements to the solution requirements.
Required experience:
• A minimum of 3 years experience as an Enterprise Information Management Technical Business Analyst.
• Sound business analysis skills and experience.
• Evidence of the ability to complete technical business analyst deliverables for ‘leading edge’ Information Management solutions.
• Detailed understanding of Enterprise Information Management, including: Data Integration, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Architecture and Master Data Management.
• Sound skills and experience across the following areas:
o Data Sourcing and Requirements Analysis
o Business Analysis and Industry Expertise
• Experience with a range of tools, namely:
o Infosphere DataStage (mandatory)
o Infosphere Suite
o Infomatica
o Oracle
o Teradata
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops and core consulting skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with business processes, System Development Life Cycle and best practices of quality management.
• Demonstrated business analysis and business process re-engineering experience.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare specifications and reports, deliver oral presentations and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
• Experience in all phases of a project lifecycle and understand the responsibilities of a Technical Business Analyst in each phase.
• Demonstrated experience in performing analysis, consulting and providing recommendations to clients.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately analyse information and make sound decisions.
• Proven ability and commitment to working collaboratively toward common goals.
• Possess effective planning and problem-solving skills.
• Multi tasking attitude, equally comfortable operating from within both the technology & business environments.
• Highly motivated.
• Focused on a quality outcome.
