Job Description  

The Operations Lead will:
• Lead a team of skilled professionals responsible for delivering a quality service to single/multiple clients using a variety of hardware and software products.
• Provide technical support of maintenance & production and development systems and administration of environments, running on various platforms, ensuring SLA targets are met.
• Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and new version installation.
• Provide ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (information systems, security, telecommunications, networks, etc.).
• Lead projects involving complex migrations ensuring standard repeatable build outs.
• Manage relationship with application vendors and ensure they are meeting all service levels and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with other deployment teams, project management, production support.

Key Responsibilities: 
 
• Accurately report status on all implementation projects to management.
• Provide leadership to a team of skilled professionals.
• Manage the capacity of a team working across multiple implementation projects.
• Plan and implement medium to high risk changes on production systems.
• Analyze and assess the impact and risk of low to medium rish changes to production systems.
• Resolve Level 1/2 incidents affecting the operation/availability of production systems, through troubleshooting and implementing known fixes.
• Conduct trend analysis with a focus on proactive identification of events/issues that threaten performance and a consistent & timely resolution, and documentation.
• Lead the deployment of standard repeatable build outs.
• Install, configure, patch and maintain appropriate technologies (e.g. servers/databases/networks/storage).
• Manage and support backup strategies.
• Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions.
• Monitor vendors' release notes and plan necessary upgrades and patches as required.
• Lead disaster recovery tests.
• Create and review technical system recovery plans.
• Review the problem management register and identify and implement actions.
• Assess/install/maintain third party tools.
• Make proactive suggestions for service managements.
• Demonstrate commitment to Service Excellence.
• Coach less experienced staff in the supported products and best practice for production.
