Job Description
Management of the Hala Abu Dhabi business focused on the sale of wholesale and inbound products and services to drive the growth of Hala Abu Dhabi and the development of profitable ancillary businesses.
The role will develop and create a world class DMC to service all tourism sector requirements and enhance the prestige of the emirate of Abu Dhabi as a leading, high quality tourism destination. The role will be a major contributor to the development of Abu Dhabi’s tourism infrastructure to provide a full range of tourism services and market these proactively in key source markets.

Requirements

  • A high standard of education preferably to tertiary level with a Degree from a recognized international university or alternatively a commensurate level of work experience.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years experience in the airline, tourism or customer service environment with a major company;
  • Has developed comprehensive business plans and strategies and managed a large operation in the airline, tourism or customer service industry with a major company;
  • Managed / owned small to medium size business would be an advantage
  • A very high level of business planning and operational skills, project management and implementation skills


Responsibilities
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:


  • Under the direction of Head Wholesale, develop the 3 year business plan and recommend options for a new business and operational model and the key strategies and objectives for Etihad. Build the best DMC in the world and to enhance the prestige of the emirate of Abu Dhabi as a leading, high quality tourism destination. Key objectives are to achieve the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority goal of 3 million visitors by 2015 and develop and build sustainable and profitable businesses.                       
  • Integrate business systems with internal and external distribution partners and identify ongoing systems related advances and new technology.
  • Develop, operate and manage the tourism segments for the Etihad group including visa services, meet & greet services, hotel transfers, coach services, accommodation, AUH & UAE excursions, cultural tours, major events and key MICE and business related options. Further develop the business, contribute to the development of Abu Dhabi’s tourism infrastructure to provide a full range of tourism services.                                                                                                                                                                    
  • Develop the inbound strategy for the DMC for distribution from EY worldwide offices and international markets with a specific focus on key source markets. In conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority drive the development of this business and increase visitor number to Abu Dhabi form 1 million in 2007 to 3 million in 2015.
