Job description

This position would require skills with video encoders for the Adobe Flash video format including both h.264 and VP6 codecs. Additionally, this position would require knowledge in Windows Media Streaming, Silverlight streaming, iPhone and iPad streaming and Shoutcast. Knowledge of major encoding software is required including Windows Expression Encoder, Windows Media Encoder and Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder. Specialized encoder knowledge would be preferred such as Kulabyte XStream and Digital Rapids Stream. Mobile streaming skills would be preferred but not required. Content Delivery Network skills are also required including Level 3 MediaPortal and Akamai EdgeControl.

The position would require strong skills in broadcast video and require interfacing with major broadcasters and camera crews including White Cherry and New York 1 in New York, CBS and ESPN. This requires intimate knowledge of the video industry including HD-SDI signal protocols, digital audio embedders and HD video switchers. In addition, the position requires the physical set up of video equipment including deep knowledge of IBM System X servers, AJA HD-SDI video capture cards, Digital Rapids HD-SDI video capture cards, RAID systems and rack mounting servers. The position also requires domestic and international shipping of equipment to customer locations including international customs carnets. The position requires the employee to be based in Atlanta. 25% travel would also be required

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years experience in Flash h.264 video encoding Experience with broadcast video encoding appliances and software Adobe Premiere Final Cut Pro Windows Media Encoder Flash Media Live Encoder Flash Media Server
At least 2 years experience in Akamai HD4Flash and Adobe FMS live streaming with Adaptive Bit Rate CDN networks including Akamai Media delivery, Akamai configuration and Akamai NetStorage
