Marketing Manager Europe
Reports to: General manager Europe
Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager role involves planning, managing and executing primary-demand marketing, targeted at decision makers/influencers for the acceptance and use of companies' products in Europe. The Primary objective of the Marketing Manager role is to create demand for our current and future products in cooperation with our organisation to delivery significant business growth and profitability in Europe.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the timely preparation, organization, review and implementation of new product launches and general product portfolio marketing. The role is responsibility for new marketing materials and communications that support sales and business objectives in Europe. The role requires a strong, highly motivated individual contributor that has a full marketing-mix experience in developing campaigns, marketing collateral, administering and managing on-line content, manage exhibitions, negotiate with suppliers and manage PR and creative design agencies. An ability to manage International marketing needs are preferable to cover the regional development of business throughout Europe and surrounding regions. The role preferably has a structured and organized person who can tolerate a dynamic start-up-like business environment and is a team player.
Responsibilities:
• Marketing Team and Product management responsibility for full product offer (naming, packaging, product specifications, certifications, labels, safe use, product descriptions, data sheets, brochures and promotions), including appropriate communications, buy-in and management sign-off.
• Project management marketing and promotional campaigns throughout Europe - Planning, development and execution of promotional events to support new business and new product initiatives.
• Manage website and re-create and invigorate to use as an up-to-date and useful on-line lead generation tool for all European territories.
• Development and assessment of product segmentation models and business cases for the introduction of new products in cooperation with the Product & Business Development team and operations.
• Liaison with sales management to enable them to arrange and coordinate staff for internal launch and associated knowledge to effectively sell new products, applications or solutions.
• Support of initial product assessment site trials to help understand and build new product value propositions
• Seek and attain representative market information of JH products versus competing products together with each products relative attributes and benefits that enable a competitive landscape to be developed and effectively communicated to management and staff.
• Development of Products value proposition versus competitors and preparation of marketing materials that support this value proposition and generate sales growth.
• Management of marketing budget - Manage program budgets with ROI responsibility of per-lead cost of primary demand campaigns and all other projects - ensure negotiation of prices and vendor comparisons.
• Manage execution process of outsourced marketing projects with PR agencies, creative agencies, printing and other vendors such as sample making companies, tradeshow building and design companies etc.
• Manage development of new and reprinting of marketing materials
• Work closely with the sales organizations to develop promotions and events across merchant and retail channels.
• Liaison with Technical manager and business development team
• Monitor & post review the quality of each finished project to assess short-comings, best practices achieved and opportunities to improve.
• Inform and to involve the marketing team in the business.
• Take over tasks of marketing manager and marketing coordinator in case of absence.
• This role will include 10-30% travel to meet with vendors, sales team, channel partners, customers, market development and support promotions.
Success Indicators :
• Current and new product growth in business revenue and earnings from new business and new products.
• Profitability derived from positioning and selling price.
• Knowledge and Motivation level of sales force and customers with respect to promotions, product launches, new business and new products.
We ask
• 5-7 years of experience in a broad international B-to-B marketing role as manager.
• Preferably experience in building construction materials or similar business
• Proven track record in strategic marketing.
• Experience with operational marketing tasks.
• Proven track record in building online marketing campaigns.
• Professional-Retail knowledge and sales driven style.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, fluent spoken and written English required with proficiency in French and/or Dutch and German.
• Bachelor University degree in marketing.
• Demonstrated experience working with vendors, including printers and other marketing production vendors.
• Process and system oriented with strong computer skills in using data-base business applications such as CRM and Desktop publishing software.

• Candidate must be based in the Netherlands – Amsterdam office
