IBM Cognos TM1 is enterprise planning and reporting software that provides a complete, dynamic environment for developing timely, reliable and personalized forecasts, budgets and reports.

As a TM1 Architect you are responsible for maintaining the highest knowledge possible in your related TM1 & associated product specialty. You are a primarily an IBM Cognos “Specialist” and will be responsible for leveraging your product expertise in the successful implementation of IBM Cognos products at client sites as well as providing product specific guidance as required during non-billable project initiatives. This role will require up to 75% travel.

Your role in billable engagements requires you to analyze the business and functional requirements through workshops/interviews with management, business users, and executives and then defining objectives and scope for new application. Based on analysis of these requirements, you will lead the solution design and prototype process and provide guidance and quality assurance to the development team throughout the solution configuration and deployment. You will assist in defining the technical infrastructure based on your solution design and should be well educated on server sizing and configuration, security and controls planning, infrastructure stability, solution availability, optimization, and migration paths. 

You are expected to achieve and maintain all required certifications for this role, as defined by the current Cognos consultant certification program which includes Cognos products, Cognos Solutions, Consulting and Selling Skills, and Related Technologies Skills.

You are expected to mentor and develop professional services staff, participate in project reviews, identify technology/product quality best practices, leverage and contribute to standard service offerings, packages and programs, and provide leadership in the “Financial Performance Management” practice.

Throughout your many years of hands-on consulting experience in the BI/BPM or TM1/OLAP field you have consistently shown that you understand complex business issues and can solve complex problems. You have shown that you can effectively communicate with clients regarding project goals, deliverables, and risks, time frames, expectations about performance. You have the ability to upsell current engagement and identify new product and service opportunities. As well, you have developed knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards (GAAP, IAS).

From a technical standpoint you have excellent OLAP database/modeling skills, have had exposure with other IBM Cognos products particularly Cognos 8 Reporting Services and have proven that you have excellent skills writing reports/queries with the TM1 Presentation tools i.e. TM1 web, TM1 contributor, TM1 Excel Add-In. You possess excellent TM1 Modeling skills and are well versed with scripting with Turbo Integrator and TM1 Rules. Finally, you are very adept at reviewing existing TM1 models, assessing areas for optimization within the models, and trouble shooting issues within the models.

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Business or Computer Sciences/I/T preferred)
• At least 5 years experience in Hands-on consulting in the BI/BPM field, excellent OLAP database/modeling skills
• At least 3 years experience designing and implementing IBM Cognos TM1 models, well versed with scripting with Turbo Integrator and TM1 Rules
• Some project exposure with other IBM Cognos products particularly Cognos 8 Reporting Services 
• English: Fluent
