Job Description: Protocol Software Development Engineer
• The candidate must have strong experience with design, development and testing of embedded software for carrier-class data communications products.
• Experience with developing and testing data communications protocols such as PPP, L2TP, Mobile IP, GTP and RADIUS for products such as Broadband Remote Access Servers, Mobile Packet Core Gateways, etc. is required.
• Experience with software system infrastructure components such as messaging, memory management, event logging, system redundancy components, etc. is a plus.
• Performance analysis and tuning is a plus.
• Candidate must have 8+ years experience developing embedded software for carrier-class data communications product. The candidate should have experience as a Technical Lead.
• Experience with all aspects of the software development process – concept, architecture, design, and implementation is required
• Strong development and problem solving skills are required. Excellent “C” programming skills are required.
• Strong background in developing networking software applications on Linux/Unix.
• Experience with wireless data networking architectures for LTE, 3GPP/UMTS and CDMA2000 is a plus
