Objectives:
To Develop and manage the Emerging Market Portfolio – Product & Services that seeks to fulfil the ever changing consumer needs and preference. Emerging Market Propositions may include Prepaid Voice, Data and Value Added Services
Key Outputs:
Product Strategy:
Compile a strategy and implementation roadmap for the Emerging Market based on market needs.
Product Development & Maintenance :
Conceptualise new consumer product offerings based on emerging market requirements and ensure that said products are delivered to market.
Initiate pro-active and corrective actions as required to ensure product performance.
Monitor and measure the portfolio performance in accordance with the metrics agreed upon with the Portfolio Manager and EHOD.
Compile reports on the product performance at the required intervals reflecting all relevant information and make recommendations.
Conduct High level analysis of the product through the various stages in the product life cycle.
Manage Relationships :
Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders to illicit requirements and ensure commercial viability of products in relevant emerging market channels.
Assist with the customer sales engagement to help grow and close the opportunities.
Provide expert knowledge of consumer eco-systems, market drivers and industry developments specific to the Emerging Market segment. Understand how these impact target market in their purchasing decisions.
Execute agreed Go-To-Market plans with key stakeholders and channels. Liaise with stakeholders in creation of sales collateral, presentation material, customer case studies, and sales channel training.

In-depth understanding of Emerging Market consumer environment, challenges and opportunities in respect of Prepaid Voice (Tariffs), Data Products and Value Added Services.
Proven track record in developing and managing products
Knowledge of Prepaid Voice (Tariffs), Data Products and Value Added Services and platforms
Knowledge of GSM standards and networks
Contract Management
Advanced level of knowledge of competitive consumer offerings relevant to the Emerging Market Segment.

Requirements:
Matric essential
Completed relevant 3 year Commercial or Technical qualification essential
Relevant 5 years experience in prepaid voice support and product management OR Data product support and product management experience.
Relevant 8 years experience in prepaid voice support and product management OR Data product support and product management experience.
