Vacancy Description 

Oando Foundation is currently seeking a Fundraising Officer to coordinate the fundraising and grant seeking activities of the Oando Foundation’s programmes and projects. The fundraising officer will build, manage and maintain relationship with prospective donors and partners in the private, public and development sectors.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Implement and manage a successful fundraising strategy in line with the Foundation’s strategic plans.
· Liaise with relevant Foundation staff as appropriate to identify potential donors.
· Undertake research into appropriate grant making agencies to identify grant availability, cycles, application and award processes.
· Liaise with the Programme Manager to develop proposals in line with donor specifications.
· Identify and seek financial support for the Foundation from select private sector entities and individuals.
· Monitor and manage stakeholder relationships by keeping the donor database updated. www.getnigeriajob.com
· Liaise with the Senior Finance Officer to ensure timely reporting on grants to respective donors.
· Liaise with corporate communications to develop appropriate marketing and communication materials
· Liaise with the Programme Manager to develop and disseminate the Foundation’s weekly, periodic and annual reports.
· Participate in relevant networking-related events.
· Ensure adequate record of fund raising goals, tracking results and reporting on performance.
· Provide input into the development of the Foundation’s budget and annual plan.
· Perform any other job duties as assigned by the Oando Foundation Director.

REQUIREMENTS

A first degree in Social Sciences from an accredited university.
Minimum of two (2) years successful fund raising and/or marketing experience preferably in a non-profit environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of grant cycles and processes of donor agencies and development institutions. Previous working experience within a charitable organization.
Excellent research skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong networking skills
Very good problem solving skills.
Ability to effectively function under pressure.
Result oriented/quality focused disposition
Ability to multi-task effectively.
