An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Totals Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for senior engineers with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, long-term contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis.
As a Senior Drilling Engineer you will:
- Manage, lead ,coordinate drilling operations and engineering activities for deepwater operations and ensure the coordination within 2G&R,
- Ensure the drilling programmes are issued in a timely manner and roll out on the rig,
- Ensure the application of the Company Rules within the programs, apply for derogations,
- Ensure optimum involvement of all HQ departments for optimised operations, and the HQ studies are issued qualitatively in a timely manner within the corresponding budget,
- Ensure that proper HSE management procedures are in place and followed,
- Ensure the application of the Drilling Improvement Process,
- Ensure the technical analysis of the drilling operation and produce end of well reports in a timely manner and transverse experience sharing,
- Ensure technical specifications and scope of work for drilling rig services,
- Initiate Call For Tender and evaluate technical and commercial proposals as per company standards,
- Ensure workshops are timely prepared and well workflow, well summary, well budget, KPI are issued in time and well budget objective is fulfilled and controlled,
- Transfer knowhow to junior engineers. Participate as mentor to newly recruited engineer.
Required skills
Education
Will be a Graduated drilling engineer.
Will hold a valid IWCF well control certificate and Bosiet training.
Will have the knowledge of deep water drilling environment.
Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues and be able to encourage good practice in others.
Will be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Experience
Will have an international field experience minimum 10 years in the petroleum industry.
Will have some people management experience and the ability to motivate, inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Skills
Will be adept at working collaborating and proactively sharing information and expertise with your colleagues.
Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments.
Will be able and keen to travel the World and work in a variety of countries.
