Job description
As System x Marketing Manager for IBM Growth Markets you will apply professional knowledge and expertise to all of the marketing mix elements ensuring there is consistency in their usage in advanced integrated business plans as applied to IBMs System x business. As a senior marketing manager, you will be able provide strategic leadership and guidance, have expert knowledge of the organisational resources (marketing, sales, technical, channel), the business priorities, and plans required to complete assigned activities.



Work with the business to understand priorities and provide strategy that anticipates market needs and any potential exposures or trends and grow market share. You will be able to work with the business to develop and enable sales and marketing on IBMs value proposition.
Provide guidance to other professionals on designing and developing marketing-related activities using these business priorities and value proposition, and will own the implement the marketing strategy and plan.

The role of System x Marketing Manager is one which provides leadership through analysing the external and internal competitive situations for their impact on the marketing elements and recommends to executive and senior management strategies, plans that support the unit objectives.

You must be able to provide 
A demonstrated ability to provide input for the long-term vision and mission of the business & how these fit into their long-term business objectives, as well as short and medium term business results
Examples where you have influenced executive management when dealing with complex issues concerning business plans.
Have a history of leading multifunctional teams within order to address business plan concerns.
Have between 10 + experience with learning’s from marketing successes as well as failures

The success measures for this role include being held accountable for the results of projects or programs that impact the marketing mix elements, and responsibility for marketing’s contribution to the to the System x business, sales and market success.
