Job Duties:
Engineer focused on design, development, and testing of operating systems, including Linux and VMWare. Responsible for technology investigations, hardware and software debugging, and code development. Work includes enterprise server and storage technologies including virtualization, high-availability clusters, iSCSI, fibre channel, and 10G networking. Troubleshoot and debug any problems of VmWare on Dell's hardware. Coordinate with VmWare engineers to get bugs fixed. Perform some code development based on the customers' requirements. Work on High Availability Cluster Storage Solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field plus 1 year experience in job offered or 1 year experience as Platform Engineer is required. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree + 1 year of experience. Experience with or knowledge of C and C++; operating systems, including UNIX; debugging and information storage and retrieval technologies. Experience can be gained concurrently or through graduate level curriculum courses in CS.
