Electronics Engineer
We are currently seeking a high caliber candidate to work on a contract. You will be working for one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies.
Responsibilities:
Electronics design and development, specifically circuit design
Firmware Development
Setup and management of initial prototype and production orders
Troubleshooting and testing
Creating documentation
Selection and procurement of electronics parts
Technical support for field operations and development group
Take design to 3rd party for manufacture
Will be doing "some" surface soldering on an adhoc basis, it is not given to a tech to do.
Only candidates meeting these minimum requirements will be considered:
Firmware Development

Engineering Degree, specialization in Electronics
5 - 7 years electronics experience in the oil and gas industry
Firmware Development experience
PCB design and manufacture skills required
High temperature electronics experience - very valuable
Some travel will be required therefore the candidate must be able to travel internationally, with a valid passport. Difficult to determine at this time, however could be approx 6wk out of the year and not necessarily the 6 wks would be at one time.
5 - 7 years electronics experience in the oil and gas industry
Firmware Development experience
PCB design and manufacture skills required

Other skill sets required for this position:
Familiarity with Solidworks and AutoCAD beneficial
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven electronic and computer troubleshooting skills.
Is detail orientated and well organized.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Person will enjoy a "hands on" role and have the ability to work independently technically.
Worked in a development environment
Some phone support. must be able to think on their feet.

- Working closely with internal groups - particularly Engineering software and Tool development group.
- Sense of diplomacy - working with people as they will be working and or troubleshooting with a diverse workforce globally and in some cases under tight situations.
- Working within tight deadlines which could be stressful.
- Work under limited supervision and direction.
- Person should exhibit some vision.
- Fairly new group within our division and could be some growth potential.
