Purpose

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the Flavors category in the Procurement function. This position is heavily involved with supplier optimization consisting of strategy development, strategic competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, project management, planning and monitoring. The candidate will work in a Global team environment with Business Units (BU�s), as well as, Commercial, R&D, and Supply Chain functions.
Successful candidate will support the procurement vision, strategy for Flavors to ensures goals are aligned with overall company objectives.

Accountabilities

         Lead sourcing category for Cadbury and partner with internal customers to develop strategy and tactics to optimize long-term cost of ownership.
         Help to create and execute a sourcing strategy working closely with BU�s Commercial, R&D, and Supply Chain networks within the Global Procurement group, monitoring projects at Global, as appropriate.
         Highly tuned internal and external environmental radar required, comprehensive knowledge of business and suppliers in order to develop the right solutions/strategies for the business.
         Ability to analyze industry dynamics, suppliers, marketplace trends, build cost models to assess impact and proactively identify new technologies and solutions and act/plan accordingly.
         Manage supply base to ensure supply continuity, price stability and price predictability.
         Partner with suppliers to drive innovation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
         Lead supplier review performance and audit supplier for contract compliance.
         Champion the strategic sourcing process for all externally spend in Flavors / indirects.
         Pro-actively promote new sources of supply that will help drive innovation and a more robust supply base.
         Lead negotiations for all Flavors supply to deliver the best value through cost, service and quality. While conducting negotiation, work to develop excellent relationships with suppliers.
         Ensure compliance with all internal guidelines and external regulations and requirements relating to responsible categories, e.g. finance policy, procurement policy, code of conduct, etc.
 

Pre-Requisites

         10 years of strategic sourcing / supply management experience required. 
         Solid strategic sourcing and contract management skills with a proven track record of effective and sound contract negotiations.
         Must possess deep understanding of contemporary sourcing processes and tactics.
         Demonstrates strong analytical and finance skills required for strategic decision-making and thinking as it relates to category management. Experience leading negotiation of contracts with advanced negotiation skills. 
         Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex ideas.
         Demonstrated leadership and results in Project Management.
         Effective relationship management and influencer at all levels of the organization and cross-culturally with ability to lead cross functional teams and align to common goal.
         Ability to manage all aspects of the supplier relationship.
         Category expertise in Flavors is required.
         Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
         Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills required.
