Job Purpose
The Technical Systems IT Manager will implement the strategy for the Technical IT Division and setting up integration IT process that will ensure that business units and IT work together in order to achieve its objectives. With the advent of new aircraft communication technologies (aircraft network), his role is also to support the engineering, planning, and other technical departments to ensure the latest process of technology air/ground link is introduced to enable EY Technical and ADAT maximum use of available aircraft data on ground for optimization of Maintenance and Engineering operation
Responsibilities
Support Engineering and Technical division ensure that latest technology air/ground link is established to enable EY Technical and ADAT maximum use of available aircraft data on ground for optimization of Maintenance and Engineering operation.
Develop and manage implementation plan for new IT applications and Business Support Tools, and support user departments to setup associated processes. Manage CMRO introduction for Etihad Technical.
Implement the IT strategy for the Technical Division and setting up an IT planning process that will ensure that IT and business units work together in order to achieve its objectives.
Control that Etihad Technical IT developments are in line with overall Etihad IT strategy.
Have a personal development plan to progress within the Engineering Department.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements for membership as a charted engineer (e.g. Bachelor degree in the field of Aeronautical and/or Mechanical engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience in the area of technical/engineering and managing technical process IT and/or aerospace projects and all related tasks, e.g. databases, standards, etc.
Proven experience in handling technical process IT related or aircraft maintenance related projects.
Basic knowledge of airline or MRO business principles.
Excellent knowledge of IT roles, responsibilities, processes & procedures, databases and standards.
Excellent computer literacy and ability to carry out complex data analysis and its presentation.
Good knowledge of current technological developments/trends in the technical area.
High standard of English language.
