As a seasoned HR BP the job holder will be a key player in the continuous transformation of the LV business as well as a key contributor to the evolution of the HR function ensuring the full OneHR model is deployed maximising the HR support provided to the business.

What are my responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of an ongoing effective Divisional HR strategy in line with the Siemens UK ONE HR strategy, which meets the medium and long term needs of the Division and drives forward improved business results giving the business an industry leading position.
  • Work with individual members of the divisional management team and their line managers to effectively implement HR/business strategies and evaluate progress. 
  • Provide broad HR support to line managers to build people management capability through proactive identification and application of HR solutions that support business objectives. Coach managers and teams in the use of the relevant HR tools for ensuring high performance and encourage the development of a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Support the delivery of HR elements of business changes in line with best practice, ensuring effective organizational and cultural change.
  • Utilize appropriate HR and business orientated metrics to identify emerging issues for the business as well as demonstrate value and track progress of the HR strategies/solutions.
  • Deploy consistent approaches to HR processes across the Division and build constructive relationships with GSS HR colleagues.
  • Build and maintain harmonious and effective relationships with trade unions/employee representatives as required ensuring business objectives are met.
  • Working in conjunction with the Sector Leads for Reward, Policy and Talent Management contribute to the formulation of future policy and ensure the consistent implementation of these HR policies and procedures across the Division.
  • Support the implementation of fair and ethical work practices to optimize employee engagement and well being and ensure full compliance with all internal and statutory requirements.

What do I need to qualify for the role:

  • MCPID Qualified
  • Managed HR initiatives/projects
  • Professional background within manufacturing organisations.
  • Union experience is essential
  • A strong working knowledge of relevant HR legislation.
  • Good inter-personal/communication skills - both verbal and written with a high level of situational sensitivity
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, SAP HR and the Internet
