Description

This position is responsible for the management of all SCEA logistics activities handled by our 3rd party logistic provider in Carrollton and Villa Rica, GA.   This position will partner with our 3rd party logistics provider (Sony DADC) as well as with the SCEA Production Planning team, SCEA Production Control team, SCEA Order Management (OM) team, SCEA Logistics team, and SCEA LATAM team to manage the flow of SCEA products from the point of receipt through the pick, pack and ship process to retail or other locations both physically and in the warehouse system where freight and inventory data is tracked and updated.  This includes managing all Latin America (LATAM) orders which are exported to multiple countries in South America.

This position is also responsible for executing any bundle packaging projects as required by the Production Control team including projects for LATAM.  Further, this position will act as SCEA's on site overall quality auditor for all projects executed in the region.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

  • Local Level Vendor Management
  • Partner with the local warehouse Management team to ensure the best interests of SCEA are met in all phases of warehouse operations
  • Build a solid relationship foundation with local warehouse Management team
  • Understand all warehouse procedures, systems and responsibilities and the correct escalation path for issues with Receiving, Storage, Order Management, Shipping Management - including Export shipments to LATAM, Inventory Control and Warehouse Systems Management



Inventory Control
  • Review the data integrity of SCEA inventory daily
  • Perform basic root cause analysis of data integrity issues and assist the SCEA Inventory Control Analyst with issue resolution
  • Perform scheduled physical inventories and ensure adherence to SCEA Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance is met before, during and after the count
  • Identify root cause issues for physical count discrepancies and work with local warehouse management to develop solutions to mitigate risk



Quality Assurance
  • A requirement of this role is to be the eyes and ears of SCEA's Product Safety and Compliance group at the point of receipt and for all packaging projects that take place within the region being managed
  • Manage the initial quality assurance inspection of all new inbound finished goods products and packout/bundle materials upon first receipt
  • Perform active quality audits on all packouts/bundle builds to ensure a high quality retail presentation and customer experience
  • Perform active quality audits on all packouts/bundle builds to ensure that Sony Standards for Quality and Compliance are being met


Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Fully knowledgeable in all phases of warehouse operations and familiar with current technology and distribution methodology
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse management systems, transportation management systems and order management systems
  • Process documentation
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance methods
  • Understands common import, export and domestic transportation methods
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Required Experience / Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent                                                    
Computer literate (advanced user with  MS Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience working closely with multiple departments and companies to achieve goals
Prior Vendor Management Experience
Experience working with 3PLs
Experience with high unit volume and high order volume
Preferred Experience / Education:
Oracle and SAP ERP/WMS/OM experience
Six Sigma or other "continuous improvement process" program certification
