The Virtualization Sales Specialist is responsible for all pre-sales activities delivering Dell’s Desktop Virtualization Solutions offerings in the Next Generation End User Computing domain positioned within Best Value Solutions. Assists with integration of customer strategy and roadmap intended to holistically address the spectrum of offerings in desktop virtualization and traditional client computing.
Participates with the customer in strategic design with the ability to offer optimization recommendations addressing all aspects of virtualization from endpoint devices to backend storage. Owns the opportunity lead role delivering the solution engagement model including all phases of feasibility, discovery, digital blueprint, business case development, delivery validation and proposal creation coordinating all support resources as required.
Works collaboratively with all areas of Dell to include partners and channel. Acts as the offering subject matter expert to support all field sales activities. Presents Dell DVS and solution details at trade shows, customer briefings, partner events and other public forums. Must be familiar with Hyper-V, Citrix, VMWare and other virtualization offerings.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Over 5 years’ experience with virtualization and be able to articulate features and comparisons of Citrix XenDesktop, VMWare View, and back end hypervisors such as Hyper-V, Xen, and ESX.
Proactively identifies and solves customer business problems by providing subject matter expertise and by using higher complexity product and services lines to create solutions.
Possesses excellent skills in: relationship building, negotiations, organization/planning , time management, communication (verbal and written), presentations
Customarily and regularly engaged at customer/client facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong technical skills.
Understands and communicates technology roadmaps and vision and associated technical advantages of the proposed solution.
Recommends product and service configurations to assist with overall system design and integration.
