THEATRE PRACTITIONER /ODP 
A highly successful private hospital located in East London is currently looking to recruit an experienced Theatre Practitioner /ODP. Key Specialties covered include Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, General Surgery and Oral surgery on both a Day case and in-patient basis.

JOB PROFILE 
• Working as a Theatre Practitioner, to provide peri-operative care to patients undergoing surgery according to the individual surgical needs of the patient.
• Preparation of the surgical field prior to the procedure, and strict maintenance of sterility,
• Ensure the safe positioning and transfer of patients within the department,
• Handling instruments and providing full assistance to the surgeon throughout the procedure,
• Responsible for accounting of all disposable and non-disposable instrumentation used throughout the procedures,
• Provide leadership for junior members of the team in the absence of a team leader,
• Transfer and handover to the post anaesthetic care unit.
• Ensure the work area is cleaned and prepared in accordance with infection control policy,
• Participate in an on-call roster.

REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will have:
• Minimum of 12 months post graduate experience working as a scrub nurse in the operating theatre.
• Hold current NMC registration, or eligibility to obtain NMC registration.

• A team player

SALARY 
£27,000-£32,000 per year, depending on experience.
