Job description
Opportunity for Data Center Services Project Manager with strong project management skills cross sector with specific (Server, Storage, Site and Facilities infrastructure Services) focus, specifically in the areas of server/storage optimization, consolidation and/or data center migration and general management.
Candidate must possess strong client relationship skills, excellent communication skills and strong PM discipline for medium to large, complex initiatives demanding a high degree of coordination across diverse teams. The PM must have demonstrated ability to to lead technical teams and define complex issues, develop approaches and outline plans for technology infrastructure projects.
The PM must possess strong client relationship skills and strong PM discipline utilizing PM methods to manage projects. The PM must have demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams with a great deal of success. PM must have strong communications skills (written/verbal). Position requires PM to lead in a manner that enhances IBM's climate and business results. Have equally balanced skills in general management areas of client relationship management, consultative approach, financial / business management, contract issue management and team management. Overall responsibility and accountability for meeting contract gross profit, revenue and for meeting or exceeding overall customer satisfaction targets. Will have overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and deliverables. An understanding of server consolidation and managed services is preferable. Position will be responsible for medium to large Projects with emphasis on IT Infrastrucure solutions.
Ability to translate customer requirements into formal agreements and plans to culminate in customer acceptance of results, while meeting business and contractual objectives. Responsible for overall project plan for all workstreams as applicable. Identifies, estimates and presents cost, schedule and business/technical risk for the project including committing multiple resources. Interfaces directly with client up to C-level. Responsible for the financial baseline of the project, and accountable for project results to ensure client satisfaction. Defines and decides objectives related to the project or segment of a large complex project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective. Ability to influence project stakeholders and people outside their immediate project. Provides leadership to project stakeholders and team. Fosters and engages in teamwork at professional levels in IBM / customer / supplier organizations. Provides evaluation input of team member performance against specific job responsibilities to the team members manager. Provides giveback to the profession and IBM.

Required
High School Diploma/GED
At least 3 years experience in interfacing at multiple levels of client management and building relationships
At least 3 years experience in understanding the Server, Storage and/or Site infrastructure services business
At least 3 years experience in optimization, consolidation, migration or delivering IT Solutions.
At least 3 years experience in forecasting, controlling costs, and meeting targets for revenue, profit and business growth
At least 3 years experience in reviewing contractual responsibilities (SOWs) and understanding Conditions of Satisfaction
Readiness to travel 75% travel annually
English: Fluent
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management
At least 5 years experience in interfacing at multiple levels of client management and building relationships

At least 3 years experience in demonstrated experience in consolidating multiple data centers
At least 3 years experience in demonstrated experience leading transition teams and providing guidance to technical architects and managers to formulate project plans for migration for physical and virtual server relocations
At least 3 years experience in demonstrated experience providing guidance to tech archs/mgrs to formulate project plans for migration of physical and virtual server relo employing various migration methods(e.g P2V) and migration tools
Certified in PMI
Certified in IBM Project Management or plan to attain certification w/in 12 months
