If you’re ready to take on a challenge that directly impacts the entire engineering community at Microsoft, then Engineering Excellence is where you will find that challenge. Microsoft has many mandatory legal and business policy requirements (for example, security, privacy, and geopolitical requirements) that apply to software released by the company. You will be part of the team designing tools used by every product group at Microsoft, tools that significantly impact Microsoft’s rate of innovation, while ensuring the quality that our customers deserve.

You will be part of the effort to integrate results from the scanning tools such as APIScan, Policheck, etc. with existing systems for managing the results of security-related scanning tools (SDLTrack) and a larger compliance management system (Quality Essentials). The goal of the overall system is to enable closely coupled integration with other engineering systems, as well as tracking of schedules and deliverables, resulting from applicable compliance procedures. At the project manager/release manager level, our vision is to provide detailed reporting over time on product readiness and compliance, as well as risk evaluation. Productizing this work by closely integrating with Team Foundation Services and Application Lifecycle Management within the next 2 years is also in scope. You should be a self-starter with excellent analytical skills and a proven success history in the developer tooling space.

Qualified candidates will have:
3+ years’ experience as an SDET
Strong C/C++/C# coding skills for test development and demonstrated proficiencies in test design
Highly effective communication skills and an ability to work across multiple disciplines to achieve great results
Proven technical strength and creativity - the ability to think outside the box for technical solutions
A BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related discipline
