Assistant Engineering Manager
Assistant to Engineering Manager, Ensuring to fully independent in-house engineering capability to required systems and manpower for the execution of Electrical Substation Projects. Secondly participate in projects are senior system engineer where required
What are the responsibilities of the role
Develop and grow the in-house engineering capability to ensure execution of electrical power systems with specific reference to HV, MV and related systems, specifically substations.
Develops and guides technical standard / procedures to ensure engineering process and output are maintained at high standards
Participate as system engineer in project where required to guide and lead design teams
Take technical responsibility for multiple project and participate in the design review process
SHEQ, in fullest extend, in both professional project relation as well as own environment.
Mentoring and Training of junior Engineers and Technicians. Ensure adequate training programs are in place to develop young engineers to registers as professionals
What do I need to qualify for the position?
Minimum of Formal tertiary qualification in Electrical (BSC Engineering or T4 or equivalent)
Computer Literate, MS Word, Excel, MS Projects,
Must be analytical, use research to apply existing technologies to new applications in projects and products.
Electrical Design and standards for electrical power systems. Industrial and utilize experience will be an advantage.
Minimum of 8Years relevant Experience in Electrical turn key projects
This System Engineer will work in Siemens High and Medium Voltage Substation Projects Environment in South East Africa Region
Registration with ESCA is required.
Based in North Riding South Africa.
