Job Description

Administer Human Resources policies and programs, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives.  Resolve a range of Human Resource-related issues. Responsible for and/or serves as the HR focal point for some or all of the following functions:

Employee Services

  • Facilitate and lead New Hire Orientation and employee roundtable meetings on various HR topics.
  • Create agenda, handouts and presentations for management brown bag meetings.
  • Plan and coordinate employee events and/or policy meetings.  Coordinates detailed logistics with internal departments and with vendors, managing to specific budget.
  • Assist employees, supervisors and managers with various employee relations issues by issue intake, research and information gathering, soliciting any necessary resources or experts and then resolving the issue at hand with follow-up communication to involved parties.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees upon notice of resignation. Reports exit interview information to HR Business Partners.
  • Perform moderately complex EEO investigations by gathering claimant information, working with legal for developing response and communicating responses to employee.  Provides management support for most complex claims.

   
Administration

  • Administer and maintain recordkeeping of random drug testing program and associated DISA training.  Perform audit of third party administrator and vendors.  Respond to FAA auditors with information requested.
  • Respond to employee benefit questions and performs as liaison to third party administrator for resolving benefit-related issues on behalf of employees.
  • Maintain administration of FMLA, and Worker's Compensation. Ensure the maintenance of accurate and concise records, reports, and logs.
  • Create reports on dashboard metrics, EEO analysis and various other reports/queries.
  • Ensure that all data in the HRIS is accurate, current, and clearly documented for audit purposes.


Qualifications


  • Possess and apply knowledge and understanding of principles, practices, and procedures of the Human Resources field.
  • Uses professional concepts while applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact with employees at all levels in the organization and to effectively communicate with outside parties, on occasion.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and HR Systems software.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Human Resources experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • PHR certification preferred.
